Vegetable Pizza |
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup of pizza or pasta sauce
- 1 teaspoon of salt-free Italian seasoning (divided)
- ¾ cup of low-sodium, low-fat shredded mozzarella cheese
- Choose 3 or more toppings from the following options:
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- ¼ cup of green or black olives, sliced
- 1 ½ cups of fresh white mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup of broccoli florets
- 1 medium zucchini, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Check the instructions on the dough package for the correct oven temperature and baking time. Preheat the oven accordingly.
Prepare the dough: Place the pizza dough on a baking stone or a baking sheet.
Spread the sauce: Using a flat spoon, evenly spread the pizza sauce over the dough.
Add seasoning: Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of the Italian seasoning over the sauce.
Add the cheese: Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Add the toppings: Choose your favorite vegetables from the list and evenly distribute them on top of the pizza.
More seasoning: Sprinkle the remaining Italian seasoning on top of the vegetables.
Bake: Place the pizza in the oven and bake according to the instructions on the dough package.
Serve: Once the pizza is golden and the cheese has melted perfectly, remove it from the oven, let it cool slightly, cut it into 6 slices, and serve hot.
