Traditional Moroccan Herb Tea Recipe

 

TEA MOROCCAN

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon green tea (such as "Nana" tea)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1 bunch of fresh mint
  • 1 teaspoon thyme (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary (optional)
  • 4 cups water

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot.

  2. Wash the Tea: Once the water is boiling, add the green tea. After a minute, strain the water to remove the tea leaves.

  3. Prepare the Tea: Pour 4 cups of boiling water back into the pot and add the strained tea again.

  4. Add Sugar and Herbs: Add the sugar, then add the fresh mint, thyme, and rosemary (if using).

  5. Steep: Let the tea steep on low heat for about 5-7 minutes.

  6. Serve: Pour the tea into cups, ideally from a height to create a nice froth.
