Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cooked and drained chickpeas
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp flour (or oat flour)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a food processor, grind the cooked chickpeas until smooth.
- Add the chopped onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, and spices (cumin, ground coriander, black pepper, and salt) and process them together with the chickpeas.
- Add the flour and mix until the dough holds together.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties as desired.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, and fry the patties or balls until golden brown on both sides.
- Place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Serving:
Serve the chickpea kefta with tahini sauce, yogurt, or any dip you like. It can also be served in a sandwich with vegetables.

You can bake the chickpea kefta in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes instead of frying it
